So, if I get the iPad mini 5 with the Apple Pencil (Gen 1) and the new Scribble feature in iOS 14 will it be the successor to my Apple Newton 2100 that I always wanted?
Asking because Wife/Boss just told me I had to order one of those too.
Oh, and that I can interact with it. I can say, “Hey Siri, play stuff I like” and she plays both stuff from my library and other good stuff she thinks I’ll like and I can ask her what that song was and she can trell me and I can tell her I like it a lot and she get’s it.
Also, bought our house another present this Chrsitmas — A Homepod mini. Set it up with 4 month trial of Apple Music. Very happy with this so far. Sounds amazing for the size and love how well Siri know’s my musical tastes…
Just ordered an iPhone 12 mini for myself. Getting my wife’s set up this weekend and having the chance to hold it and use it for a while pushed me over the edge. Also, that screen! Such a delight for my old eyes vs. my Gen 1 SE.
Also, our business needed the deduction this year.
Set up my wife’s new iPhone 12 mini last night. Unexpectedly covetous.
Current conundrum: My MacBook Air (11-inch, Early 2015) battery is now at “Replace soon” status. Trying to decide to take my normal Amish approach and replace it or let go and get the new M1 MacBook Air. These old eyes would really appreciate a larger sharper screen.
I hope this is OK: In leau of individual responses to the many folks who kindly rewached out about my iPhone SE conundrum, here’s an update… A dear friend, who I assume wishes anonyminty, will be gifting my Dad their former gen 1 SE. Thus, crisis averted and everyone wins!
Got a message from my carrier that my Dad’s old flip phone will stop working on the network soon due to “progress”. Giving him my current, beloved, 1st gen iPhone SE is the best available option. The Universe seems to be pushing me towards the new iPhone SE.
We’ll see…
