A Personal Update

As you know, we were on our Summer Road Trip vacation last week. On Sunday night, before the final leg home, Beatrix came down with symptoms and tested positive for Covid 19. Bethany and I both had recent Covid bouts — hers at the end of May and mine just two weeks before our trip. We also had both recently received booster number two. We had already spent all of our time together in the car for 10 days and had a 10+ hour drive ahead of us so there was nothing we could do but drive.

Bethany came down with symptoms last night and tested positive this morning. Both are having mild symptoms so far but, still, it really sucks. Not what we wanted to come back to.

So, I feel a bit like Capt. Hook right now surrounded by crocs that have swallowed clocks. It seems not a matter of if, but when.

This variant running rampant right now is no joke. It sees your vaccination. It sees your natural immunity. Then it proceeds to have a good hearty laugh, walk right past them, and infect your ass.

So, be careful out there folks. This virus is no joke.
